One Translation of the Lords Prayer

ONE TRANSLATION OF THE LORD’S PRAYER
I came across this translation years ago. It is supposedly a translation directly from Aramaic to English, as opposed to Aramaic, to Hebrew, to Greek, to English. I see now that there are many translations, said to be from Aramaic to English. One may think it is blasphemy to mess with the Lord’s Prayer as they know it. I believe that if it speaks to you, and is not hurtful to another, take it. If it does not resonate with you, lay it aside, without reproach.

Here is the one that I came across years ago that speaks to me so deeply. I find every line so profound and meaningful, invoking in me reverence and desire to live it. If only.

“Oh Cosmic Birther of all Radiance and Vibration
Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your presence can abide.

Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.

Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desires.

Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to flourish.

Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.

Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.

For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth-power and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made whole once again.”
